Acne is a common skin problem that is estimated to affect 85% of the people at some point of their lives.

TYPES OF ACNE

Grades Of Acne  Symptoms Pimple Marks
Mild  Few white & black heads, mildly irritated small pimples  No
Moderate More white & black heads, multiple pimples, pustules   Maybe
Severe A large no. of white & black heads, more pustules with painful nodules on their skin Yes

WHAT CAUSES PIMPLE MARKS OR DARK SPOTS?

In our body, Melanin is responsible for the coloring in our skin. When our skin tissue gets injured, as in case of Acne or pimples, an excess amount of Melanin get accumulated in one area.

This accumulation or increased production of Melanin in one area leaves it's mark on the skin and results as a Dark Spot or Hyperpigmentation.

The trauma to the skin is also caused by excessive sun exposure or popping pimples.

SHOULD I POP MY PIMPLES?

Acne or Pimples can be irritating and we may think that popping pimples out can work as the quick way to get rid of them.

Well, It's tempting but popping or squeezing a pimple will not necessarily help and can push Bacteria & Pus deeper into the skin, which may result in more Swelling and Redness.

Squeezing the pimples in fact may lead to scabs and might leave you with Permanent Scars & Dark Spots.

So, as popping isn't the way to go, Patience is the key. Your pimple will disappear with time, and by letting it heal on it's own, you're less likely to be left with any reminders that it was there.
